Nutrients That We Need ...
in Our Daily Diets

More than 140 different building blocks, are needed in our daily diet to stay healthy.

Our body is constantly renewing all its cells and components. Some cells, like our blood cells, are all completely replaced every month. Others, are replaced, every couple or few months. By the end of a year or so, every Atom in our body has been replaced, if we are eating a proper diet.

Atoms are much like rechargeable batteries. They store Solar Energy, by shifting electrons to higher, more energitic orbits. Our bodies release this stored Solar Energy, by returning electrons to lower more stable orbits.

Plants are Nature's primary battery chargers. They collect the sun's energy and store it in the electron orbits of atoms that they have collected from the earth and air. Plants work with possibly more than 28 different atoms to work their magic. At least 40 different atoms have been found in plants, but so far, only 28 have been identified as being needed by humans.

This erector set of atoms is used to form, ( Who knows how many ? ) different; sugars, starches, oils, essential oils, amino-acids, enzymes, Coenzymes, protiens, vitamins, hormones, on and on !

Our bodies require about 22 amino acids to make human protein.

It can actually make 14 of these amino acids, if all body systems are healthy and fully active. The other 8 must come from food sources and are termed "essential".

The Amino Acids
From Which All Proteins Are Made
Beta–Alanine NH2CH2CH2CO2H 13 Atoms
DL–Alanine CH2CH(NH2)COOH 12 Atoms
L–Alanine CH2CH(NH2)COOH 12 Atoms
Arginine C6H14N4O2 26 Atoms
Asparagine NH2COCH2CH(NH2)COOH 17 Atoms
Aspartic Acid HOOCCH2CH(NH2)COOH 16 Atoms
Cysteine HSCH2CH(NH2)COOH 14 Atoms
Glutamic Acid HO2CCH2CH2CH(NH2)CO2H 19 Atoms
Glycine NH2CH2COOH 9 Atoms
Isoleucine CH3CH2CH(CH3)CH(NH2)COOH 22 Atoms
Leucine (CH3)2CHCH2CH(NH2)COOH 22 Atoms
Lysine NH2(CH2)4CH(NH2)COOH 24 Atoms
Methionine CH3SCH2CH2CH(NH2)COOH 20 Atoms

Serine HOCH2CH(NH2)COOH 14 Atoms
Threonine CH3CH(OH)CH(NH2COOH 17 Atoms
Tryptophan C11H12N2O2 27 Atoms
Tyrosine HOC6H4CH2CH(NH2COOH 24 Atoms
Valine (CH3)2CHCH(NH2)COOH 19 Atoms

It takes more than just Amino Acids, to make Proteins.

Vitamins etc.

Linolenic and Linoleic acids are essential to man.

The Every Vitamin Page

This page is a listing of every known vitamin, pseudo-vitamin, and nutrient that might have been called "vitamin" a long time ago. Some are still around today as supplements. An asterisk (*) beside a name indicates its status as a vitamin is questionable.

Much more information is in my Newsletter.

Too Much of One Type of Vitamin E is Harmful
Needs to be Ballanced with Second Form.

Oh, Beans ! - Rich in B vitamins, protien.
There are at least 24 different B-vitamins.
