Political Research

The following links are to the web sites for several political educational and research institutions, sometimes referred to as think tanks.

The American Enterprise Institute aims to preserve and to strengthen the foundations of a free society: limited government, competitive private enterprise, vital cultural and political institutions, and vigilant defense, through rigorous inquiry, debate, and writing.

The Cato Institute seeks to broaden the parameters of public policy debate to allow consideration of more options that are consistent with the traditional American principles of limited government, individual liberty, and peace.

The Concord Coalition is a nonpartisan, grassroots movement to eliminate the deficit and bring entitlements down to a level that's fair to all generations.

The Democratic Leadership Council is a national voice that is reshaping American politics by moving beyond the old left-right political debate.

The Heritage Foundation is a research and educational institute whose mission is to formulate and promote conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, traditional American values, and a strong national defense.
